This paper presents a novel approach for analyzing the normal and abnormal rhythms of the heart using intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS). The intuitionistic fuzzy set is a vital tool for various applications in science and technology. The IFS is mainly applied to determine various kinds of arrhythmias in the heart. The cardiac electrical system plays an important role to contracting and relaxing alternatively to pump blood through the heart. Arrhythmias are heart-rhythm problems such as coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, heart attack, etc that can occur if the electrical signals that control the heartbeat are delayed or blocked. This can happen if the special nerve cells that produce electrical signals don't work properly. It also can happen if the electrical signals don't travel normally through the heart. In this paper, for our convenience, the heart rhythms are divided into three categories: membership function (normal heartbeats), non-membership function (abnormal heartbeats), and hesitation function (it may be either normal heartbeats or abnormal heartbeats). These functions can clearly be valued in an IFS element.
