Abstract

Background: The present study aims to observe the effectiveness of menopausal empowerment strategies on awareness regarding health promoting Lifestyle modification among postmenopausal women. The researcher also focused to find out the post-menopausal health problems among the ladies following their fertile period. A pre-experimental one group pretest posttest research design was used to achieve the objectives of the study. 303 postmenopausal women from two different setting were selected with convenient sampling technique.

Results and Conclusion: The health problems among postmenopausal women were analyzed in 3 categories, in psychological the majority of 242(80.67%) had moderate symptoms whereas in somato vegetative most of the participants had 167(55.67%) severe symptoms. The last category was Urogenital health issues 126 (42.00%) had very severe symptoms. In the analysis of effectiveness of Menopausal Empowerment Strategies the calculated t value was 67.05 at P<0.05.
