Abstract

Due to their prevalent affliction and earlier presentation, the parotid and submandibular glands are of significant concern. Swelling, discomfort, and nerve palsies in the region or over the gland are common symptoms. Ultrasonogram and computer tomogram studies aid in study of the extent and surgical planning of tumor. Salivary gland disorders though common, neoplasms are restricted to older age group with increasing incidence as age increases. Over the years, our tertiary care centre, which includes both general surgeons and otolaryngologists, has seen cases of salivary gland neoplasms, with both surgical interventions. We want to look at the demographics and types of neoplasms that have been seen in our otorhinolaryngology department recently.
