Abstract

Clonal propagation of Tylophora indica from shoot tip explants placed on MS medium with low concentration of BAP (1 M) and in combination with Ads (3 M) induced three shoots and four roots. Explants on MS with BAP (4 M) and KIN (3 M) with Ads (4 M) had less number of shoot and root. The responses of shoot tip explants in MS +2,4-D (12.5 M) showed poor organogenesis or callusing. It may be concluded that further standardization of hormonal combinations could helpful to rapid propagation for conservation and commercial application.
